This wine-growing area lies in the Departement Sarthe together with Jasnières on the slopes of the Loire Valley.
This area almost died out 25 years ago. Today a renaissance is taking place. The vines grow on firestone clay on limestone turf. The red wine is itneresting, it is blended light and fruity from Pineau d'Aunis, Cabernet, Gamay, or Cot. Rosé wines are also produced. For white wines the vintners usee Chenin or Pineau Blanc de la Loire.
