Like Kaiserstuhl, Tuniberg is also on the slopes of a volcano, but doesn't quite reach the others' quality.
The area is made up f the large site Attilafelsen. The Tuniberg is a bit smaller than the Kaiserstuhl volcano. Around the wine communities ist Tiengen and Niederrimmsingen Spätburgunder and Müller-Thurgau grown on limestone, loess, and loess-clay. The mostly dry wines are often not named, but only give the details of area, vines, and quality class.
