Riesling wines have a good reputation, but the Chardonnay and Shiraz are gaining in importance as well.
Eden Valley is north of the Adelaide Hills and east of Barossa Valley. The soils are sandy to clay.
The Eden Valley Riesling is aromatic in young years, and develops aromas of petrol and roast after a few years storage. The large amounts of Shiraz wine is mostly use for blended wines.
There are only a few wine companies in Eden Valley. Most vineyards belong to larger companies that process the wines in Barossa Valley. The wine companies are e.g. Heggies and Pewsey Vale.
