The Northern Territory is very proud of its own viniculture, which has managed to establish itself here, and stubbornly ignore the awful conditions.

The only wine-company of the Northern Territory is the Château Hornsby in Alice Springs. The vines grow in incredible hear and have to be extensively irrigated. In spite of the awful conditions fairly good wines are made.
