Pannonhalma-Sokoróalja is a historical wine growing region that is known for its quality wines. It is one of Hungary's smallest regions, with cool weather and a lot of precipitation.
The wine region Pannonhalma-Sokoróalja is one of Hungary's, but it has been known for its quality wines since the 19th century.

The centers are the towns of Écs, Nyúl, Gyórság, Tényó, and mostly in Pannonhalma. The cloister Pannonhalma was founded over a thousand years ago and is known for its quality wines.

The regionally important vines are the Rhine Riesling, the Welsh Riesling, the Muscat-Ottonel, and Traminer.

The white wines are very fresh.
