The Basque Country lies in the north of Spain, on the Antlantic Ocean. The weather here is cool in the winterm mild in the summer, and rainy most of the year, which explains thelandscape's freshness and green.
The "Txacolí" (Chacolí) is the region's typical wine, it is a young, thin, sour, and scented wine with low alcohol content. There are two types of Chacolís. The red Chacolí, from the Hondarribi-Beltz vine, and the white Chacolí, from the Hondarribi Zuri vine. The Chacolí goes very well with the shellfish dishes of the region.
