Bonvillars and Vully are the driest areas in Switzerland next to Côtes de L'Orbe.
Bonvillars is on the Neuenburger Lake. The soil here is strongly eroded; the vines grow on rocky ground with only a few centimeters of rock and sand filled soil. With Côtes de L'Orbe this area is one of Switzerland's driest. Chasselas, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Gamay, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer and Muscat are grown.
Murten Lake and Vallamd are the most famous wine-villages in Vully. The vines grow on molasses soil. The leading vines Chasselas, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Gamay.
