The region Mecsekalja has optimal climatic and geological conditions. It is one of Hungary's warmest regions, but WW II practically brought it to a standstill, and its revival has taken a long time.
This is why the traditional, and a little old-fashioned method brings forth full-bodied wines with plump aciditym and a high rest sugar.
The production of white wines dominates, The Zierfandler is the most important vine, but the Welsh Riesling and the Chardonnay are also processed.
