According to legend, Baron Árpád encountered a large mountain while conquering the land around the River Bodrog. One of his vassals, Turzol, reached the peak first, and reported that the slopes were full of vines. So Árpád gave him the whole mountain, the entire stretch of land to the crossing of the Bodrog and Theiß rivers. This is where Turzol was established, later to be called Tarcal.
This large growing region has an extensive wine cellar system with ideal conditions for several years of storage of bottled and barreled wines. The cellar walls are covered with a thick layers of black noble fungus, a mystical contrast to the sparkling wine. The wine has an extraordinary bouquet.
