The wines of this Cru in Coteaux are still larger, higher in alcohol content and more concentrated that most of the Layon-wines, and have a honeylike bouquet. The prices are very low.
These wines have a honey bouquet with a hint of winter apples and wool. The wines are more or less sweet, sometimes even noble-sweet. Longevity and a good prices for what they offer.
The soils are made up of quartz and limestone. The vines grow on ideal southern sites outside of the village Chaume. Only Chenin Blanc is cultivated.
