Books about Wine country Tignanello

The Tignanello is a Vina da Tavola from Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. The most famous and best Tignanello is from the Antinori winehouse.
The Tignanello from Antinori is marked by its excellent elegance, which has allowed it to be a winner in the wine world since its introduction in 1978. The first Tignanellos had no Cabernet Sauvignon, but were instead a kind of "luxury Chianti", and was made like Bordeaux. Today the Cabernet Sauvignon is used as a powerboost, to give the Sangiovese some pep. In young years the wine already shows its elegance and balance, which limits its stiffness. Its fine fruit sugar adds on the the flavor dimension after several storage.

The grapes for this wine grow on drained limestone and the Galestro soil.

Only in good years are Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon (max 20%) blended with the Tignanello. The wie is stored in new oak barrels for 18-22 months, and after that stored for at least 18 months in the bottle.
