Umpqua Valley lies southeast of Willamette Valley and only has a quarters of its size. Roseburg is its center.
The landscape is marked by hills and small valleys. The climate a bit drier and warmer. The inconsistency of the temperature is worse than that of Willamette Valley.
Chardonnay and Riesling are the top-vines of this region. Their wines always succeed well. Pinot is also raised here. Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, and Sémillon are also raised on the Adelsheim vineyards.
