The wines aren't pushy and are priceworthy, but don't have any exceptional qualities.

The DOC is for white and red wines as well as Rosato. Among the important communities are San Severo, Torremaggiore, San Paolo, and five other towns north of Foggia. Bombino Bianco and Trebbiano Toscano, Malvasia Bianca, and Verdeca, as well as Montepulciano di Abruzzo are cultivated. The white wines must have a minimal alcohol content of 11%, the red and rosé wines 11,5%.
