The Primitivo-grape is probably from the same source vine as the Zinfandel in California.
This wine is produced in Manduria as well as 15 other communities along the southern coast of Salento.
The grape makes heavy dark red wines, that are partially sprited and can sometimes be a little sweet. The alcohol content is at 14% and above. Depending on storage the aroma can be developed to a full fruity aroma, or just a full aroma.
