The Vermentino di Gallura is traditionally a strong, dry white wine with little acidity.
This wine is one of Sardinia's best, and has good potential to become a DOCG soon. The wine is at its best with the Superiore at 14% alcohol content. Because of its low acidity and high alcohol content it isn't good as a thrist quencher.
19 communities in the north of the island produce this wine. The main vine used is the Vermentino, and may only blended with up to 5% other vines.
