Aragón is an area of climatic contrasts: cold winters, warm summers and strong winds.
Aragón, to the peninsula's East, has about 62.00 ha. growing area. This prvince has developed positively in recent years. The plating of new vines, the founding of new vineyards, modernized guild cellars, and the increase of private vineyards make this region interesting for winelovers.

The most important vines are the red Garnacha and Tempranillo, that are especially suited to barrel-processing, and the white Viura, Garnacha Blanca, and Alcañón.

Aragón has the follwing DO (origin designation): Cariñena (excellent red wines), Campo de Borja, Sotomontano, and Calatayud.
